Brown County Hospital, a beautiful Critical Access Hospital (CAH) with specialty clinics and a Rural Health Clinic (RHC), is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Together with the management team, physician leadership, and the Board of Trustees, the successful candidate will lead the organization through the next phase of success in providing its community the highest quality of comprehensive and compassionate healthcare.
With the recent addition of the Rural Health Clinic, this is an exciting opportunity for a health care executive to bring a vision for rural health care to life.
The successful candidate will have:
Strong leadership qualities;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Experience in a rural health care setting;
Demonstrated understanding of CAH, provider-based clinic, and RHC reimbursement, as well as operational and policy issues;
Success with internal, external, governing board, and physician communications;
Three to five years of line management experience; and
A bachelor’s degree with emphasis in health care, finance, and/or business administration.
Three to five years of previous experience in a senior health care administration leadership role and a Master’s degree in health care, finance, and/or business administration is preferred. Experience in collaborative and/or joint venture efforts with external parties is also valuable.
Brown County Hospital is a non-profit county-owned 25-bed facility with annual gross revenue of $9 – 10 million. The health care campus includes acute medical/surgical beds, skilled nursing, emergency care, home health, cardiac rehabilitation, chemotherapy, surgery, telehealth, rehabilitation services including occupational, speech, and physical therapy, pathology, expanding radiology services, and several outpatient specialty clinics.
