What You Will Do:
The Vice President of Ambulatory Finance serves as the financial leader and is responsible for supporting Valley Physician Enterprises, Valley Regional Enterprise and Valley Partners with setting and executing plans to meet or exceed their overall financial goals. Provides onsite support for preparing monthly financial statements and reports, as well as reviewing cost reports and other state required financial reporting. Accountable as the entity liaison for the auditing process and other financial compliance and regulatory activities including contract compliance concerning the entities. Accountable for strategic business development including active participation in all business planning and oversight of new business analysis. Accountable for annual budgetary process and regular analysis of on- going operations relative to budget. Matrix reporting relationship which includes a direct reporting relationship to the VHS Senior Vice President & CFO and dotted line reporting to the President of Valley Physician Enterprises and the President of Valley Regional Enterprise; provides day to day operations and support to the Vice President for Population Health (Valley Partners).
What You Will Bring:
Masters Degree in Accounting, Business or Healthcare required
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Health care required
5 years - healthcare management required
10 years - business experience (cross-functional) required
5 years - physician practice, medical group required
5 years - urgent care experience preferred
Multispecialty medical group experience required
Urgent Care Experience preferred
Experience with Rural Health Clinics and/or FQHCs preferred
Progressively responsible accounting/finance positions operating at a senior level in a mid to large healthcare system required
Requires previous work experience demonstrating an exceptional level of interpersonal skills necessary in order to deal effectively in delicate, sensitive and/or complex situations with a wide variety of influential internal and external personnel and make presentations before groups including regulatory agencies.
Requires previous work experience demonstrating a high level of problem-solving skills and strong analytical skills.
Requires previous work experience demonstrating strong management and decision-making skills necessary in order to develop and implement new financial systems, techniques and/or procedures; determine needs for capital equipment, personnel, expense and revenue budgets; and prepare special and recurring reports and analyses.
Certification & Licensures
Masters of Business Administrations preferred
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills required
Demonstrated experience partnering with key members of leadership to achieve favorable fiscal outcomes required
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including skill in planning, organizing and managing complex functions and projects required
Ability to learn unfamiliar concepts quickly required
Ability to plan, coordinate and prioritize resources required
