Providence is calling a Medical Records Clerk (Full Time) to the Providence Medical Institute in Burbank, CA.
In this position you will be responsible for:
The medical records clerk willensure the quality of the patient's medical record by verifying the accuracyand proper entry into the electronic health record system.
Performs document imaging/scanning, documentindexing and quality assurance of the electronic record while maintainingpatient privacy and security.
Provides ahigh level of customer service in coordinating patient information through allcaregivers, clinical departments, and billing departments according to theorganization's policy and procedure.
Required qualifications for this position include:
One year health information managementexperience.
Ability to work quickly andaccurately with numbers, arrange numbers in numerical sequence.
Speak, writeand understand English language.
Working knowledge of computers and Windows,Microsoft Word, Excel.
Ability to workindependently and as a member of a team.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Course in health information technology or health sciences preferred.
Knowledge of information systems and healthcare applications related to the electronic health record preferred.
