Providence is calling a Medical Staff Specialist Lead (Medical Staff Services Dept, Day Shift, 1.0-Full Time) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. In this position you will:
Fulfill all aspects of initial credentialing, reappointment, and privileging process independently, ensuring that applications for appointment and reappointment are managed in accordance with the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and policies.
Assist in the preparation of privilege requests and privilege changes for committee consideration.
Provide training and education on credentialing processes in accordance with organization and department standards.
Respond to Provider Affiliation Verification requests in a timely manner.
Requiredqualifications for this position include:
Associate degree (work experience may substitute for education)
Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)
Minimum of three (3) years experience in medical staff services including credentialing, privileging reappointment processing, and meeting coordination
