**This position requires working at multiple Urgent Care locations across the Bay Area**
Urgent Care providers work in a team environment to safely deliver high quality care to patients of all ages. The Urgent Care provider accommodates a variety of urgencies and adapts to a fluctuating volume of patients and acuity levels while providing a high degree of patient satisfaction.
Expectation of complete patient care within the scope of ambulatory care by working evenings/nights and weekends.
Provide urgent medical care within the scope of Board Certification*
Family Medicine Boarded Physician – all ages
Emergency Medicine Boarded Physician – all ages
Internal Medicine Boarded Physician – 16 y.o. and up but can see younger patients
Pediatrics Boarded Physician – to 20 y.o. but can see older patients
Nurse Practitioner – all ages*
Physician’s Assistant – all ages*
Expectation of common procedures performed in urgent care
The ability to read commonly ordered xrays
Appropriately triage patients based on capabilities of the urgent care site.
Patient volume expectation is 4/hour scheduled but can be 6 patients/hour or more depending on the situation. To see all walk-in patients during office hours, which may extend hours beyond closing time.
To ensure that all in-basket work is completed prior to leaving the office.
To ensure that all patients are seen prior to leaving clinic.
Provide Director of the Day duties when required.
Paid Jeopardy call during certain times of the year.
Willing to voluntarily work at the last minute if needed a plus.
Requirements for working Holidays include at least two minor and one major holiday for the year.
Accommodation of location preferences are taken in to account, but Urgent Care location placement are based on needs of the clinics.
Phone Call coverage as determined by JMMG Family, Internal Medicine, and Pediatric call group (for pre-partners).
Join an Urgent Care Committee and contribute to the positive culture of urgent care.
Willing to volunteer precepting residents as needed a plus.
Proper billing and coding.
Position is with benefits and salary commensurate with experience.
Pre-partner position with path to partnership in John Muir Medical Group.
