We offer evening, weekend and holiday hours for our patients to provide the best care we can. We maintain hospital privileges at the local hospital, Winchester Medical Center. We care for many patients with complex medical conditions and enjoy good working relationships with pediatric subspecialists at the University of Virginia, John Hopkins Hospital and INOVA Children’s Hospitals.

With 7 full time providers, call schedule would be 1 in 8 with one weekend day a month. WMC has a level 2 NICU which covers deliveries and the Pediatric hospitalists provide overnight coverage for admissions from the ED for our practice. We also have two Nurse Practitioners who support the evening clinics during the work week.

There are opportunities, if a physician wishes, to become involved in the local medical community participating as a faculty instructor for the Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency or one of the local Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner programs or working within various hospital medical staff positions. The community of Winchester is located in the northern Shenandoah Valley but the geographic area we serve is even greater including parts of West Virginia and down the Shenandoah Valley. The area is fast growing due to its proximity to the greater DC/ Northern Virginia region but still maintains the quieter, family friendly pace of its rural roots.

For well qualified candidates we offer a very generous starting salary with opportunity to move to partner status within the first year without any buy-in. In addition, the local hospital system offers additional signing bonuses to encourage new providers to establish practice in our community.
