The Scheduler is responsible for setting the schedule at EMS, Communications and Education locations and various other areas of CHRISTUS EMS as assigned by the scheduler's direct supervisor. They are responsible for monitoring the reconciliation of hours worked (this primary function is the responsibility of direct supervisors/managers). This position has direct contact with department managers, supervisors, hourly associates.
One (1) to Three (3) years of customer service.
One (1) or more years experience as a EMS scheduler, dispatcher, EMT/Paramedic, is preferred
High School diploma.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Computer experience in Windows preferred with some knowledge of database operations.
