Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, conducts a variety of complex financial studies to analyze, evaluate and present findings regarding existing and proposed programs and services. Coordinates financial analyses, forecasts and projections to evaluate cost containment initiatives, contract negotiations and the budgeting of future revenue and expenses. Develops and proposes alternative solutions or strategies on a wide variety of fiscal issues. Provides support, as needed, to the Clinical Service Line or DMC Medical Group by coordinating the regions costing efforts for various Clinical Service Line projects or DMC Medical Group projects. Oversees and reviews the work of other financial services staff members involved in the development of operating and capital budgets and analyses for facilities or clinical service lines or the DMC Medical Group within the region. Prepares and may coordinate the work for others in financial variance analyses and status reports for the operating and capital budgets for assigned locations. Provides technical expertise and guidance to lower level personnel. Assignments require highly complex analysis and broad communication.
1. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Five or more years of progressively more responsible experience in accounting, financial analysis, cost accounting or third party reimbursement preferably in a healthcare environment.
