The position assists in implementing policies and procedures concerning recruitment, selection and retention of hospital personnel, employee relations, employee health, wage/salary and benefit administration, orientation, annual update and maintenance of personnel records. Supervises the Human Resources and Employee Health Department staff, and the daily operations of the departments. Must possess excellent verbal skills and knowledge of good customer relations for dealing with phone calls. Telephone etiquette and legible handwriting. Bilingual preferred. Must be able to speak, read and write English. Knowledge of regulations governing human resource management is preferred.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelorï¿½s Degree or Certification in HR
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two years of management experience in hospital or health care environment. Five years progressive recruiting/retention experience and previous experience in Human Resources including Wage and Hour Laws, Benefits and employee relations.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); detail oriented; excellent customer service skills; Excellent human relations skills and oral/written communication skills.
