Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more The Physician Assistant position is within the Primary & Specialty Medicine Service Line located at the Brainerd Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). Duties include chronic disease management, preventative health care and evaluation of episodic acute illness to a predominately male populations. Duties: Assessment and documentation of medical history, diagnosis and plan of care Initiates, orders and evaluates plans of care for panel of outpatient clients Follow-up exams for medication management and monitoring Provides patient/family education regarding disease process, risk factor, symptom control, treatment (including use of medication) Consultation with other providers and multidisciplinary team Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, Administrative days Recruitment and Relocation Incentive may be authorized for this position amount to be determined.
