Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) - Lymphoma Clinical Research (Outpatient)
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for the Lymphoma Clinical Research service. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 800 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert, and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families.
You will:
- Collaborate with designated physicians and research team members (consisting of the principle investigators, Research Study Assistants, Data Managers and Nursing Staff) to develop and conduct clinical trials
- Participate in the institutional review process, including writing/reviewing protocols
- Screen patients for protocols, determining patients eligibility, participate in the informed consent process and provide education for patients considering enrollment or enrolled on a clinical trial
- Clinical responsibilities include monitoring toxicities, assessing clinical responses and providing exemplary patient care while ensuring the protocol is conducted in a high quality manner
You Are:
- Experienced in Lymphoma or Hematology/Oncology
- Capable of anticipating and balancing the needs to multiple stakeholders
- Resourceful, securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently
- An effective communicator
- Openly relatable and comfortable with diverse groups of people
- Adaptable in approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR AN NP CANDIDATE ARE:
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
- Masters degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- 3+ years of related clinical experience
- Related National NP certification
- BLS/ ACLS certification
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR A PA CANDIDATE ARE:
- Graduate from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience as a PA is preferred
- BLS/ACLS certification
HOURS : Full-time, 10 hour days flexed Monday through Friday
