POSITION SUMMARY: This role is responsible for the technical strategy and operation of the platforms across the Tenet enterprise including core data centers, co-lo centers and remote centers within hospital facilities. It includes collaborating with peers that lead the Cloud Hosting, SaaS, End User Services, Networks and other infrastructure delivery. The director oversees the strategic vendors that provide day to day operations in this space. This role also serves as the sponsor / owner of compute, storage, backup, DR and other new technologies or projects that the director may identify in the best interest of Tenet and our facilities. Close collaboration with Applications teams to identify application migration and replatforming activities. The director is also responsible for the financial performance of these platforms across the enterprise, including accurate budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
Acts as a liaison across IT architecture and Infrastructure delivery teams and provide leadership and oversight
Produce strategic roadmaps and reference models, principles & standards
Follow industry trends to drive architecture & engineering directions and decisions

This role will drive the evolution of our Application Hosting Service, establishing a target state vision in alignment with our platform and application hosting strategy, to meet the different needs of the business. Provide architectural direction to the business, based on extensive real-world experience of delivery, through the creation of strategies, standards, and best practices. This role requires technical working knowledge of Storage, Compute and Disaster Recovery solutions.
Hands-on experience with VMWare solutions
Familiar with Dell and IBM server infrastructure.
Proven ability to successfully migrate applications between geographically dispersed locations.
Hands-on experience with data backup solutions such as: Veeam, ComVault, EMC (Networker, Avamar, DataDomain) NetApp, IBM TSM, Compellant and/or Zerto
Conducts risk analysis to indentify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption and execute solutions that mitigate the risk within acceptable SLAs.
Design and lead implementation of data backup and data retention services that ensures the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems and technology.
Develops and enforce service level recovery standards (RTO & RPO) with customers and vendors.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelorâ��s degree in Computer Science preferred.
At least 10+ years of experience in IT.
At least 5+ years in a management position, including financial management.
Experience guiding leveraged delivery organizations, such as through an outsourced arrangement is a plus
Strong platform architecture and operations experience, with emphasis in hyper converged and virtual environments
Experience in application and data center migrations is preferred
Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work with multiple organizations and assimilate information from subject matter experts in complex environments
