IU Health Medical Group South Region is seeking a patient-focused Neonatologist to collaborate with our highly skilled teams at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana. Our team is seeking a motivated, board-certified/board eligible neonatologist to join our passionate and supportive team. Our 17-bed unit provides care for all gestational ages, utilizing conventional and high-frequency ventilation, iNO, NIPPV, and bubble CPAP. Infants and surgical complications or HIE are referred to Riley Hospital for Children. Our average daily census is 10-12 patients, with approximately 250-300 admissions each year. Our team provides delivery room management for approximately 1800 deliveries per year, along with in-patient and out-patient consultations for high-risk pregnancies followed by MFM. This position also offers regular teaching opportunities for medical students and nursing students.
Position Details:
Flexible scheduling
In-house shifts shared equally among 4 Neonatologists
Provide full medical care for all neonates in Level 3 NICU
Attend high-risk deliveries
Provide antenatal consults as requested
Procedures such as: umbilical line placement, endotracheal intubation, chest tube placement and removal
Qualifications
MD/DO
Board Certified / Board Eligible
Strong clinical skills with patient-centered approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
